Heart Information
The Heart organ is the body's muscle machine, delivering blood and oxygen to all
areas of the body on a daily, hourly, and up to the second basis. The heart is a
unique combination of electric pulses, muscle contractions, and pumping
expectations that continues to both fascinate and focus the medical community
towards its understanding. This drive towards understanding the mysteries of the
heart has provided impact from the emergency rooms to the At Home Health level.
We can monitor our heart rates with wrist watches; we can keep the pace the
heart needs with both internal and external pacemakers; and we can attempt to
combat Cardiac Arrest outside of the emergency rooms with Automated External
Defibrillators placed wherever people congregate from airports to malls to your
home. Each of these advancements has helped make ourselves better prepared to
keep our hearts powering our bodies.
