IV Poles
IV poles are a medical standard, and need little explanation. They basically consist of a stainless steel post
on wheels with hooks - a sort of mobile hat stand for hanging things much more important than hats! Bags containing
important fluids or medicine are suspended above the patient, allowing gravity to push the contents at a steady
rate into the patient's bloodstream. IV poles are a common bedside addition in any home health care or hospital
setting where fluids and medications must be delivered routinely.
