Raised Toilet Seats
Standard toilets may be fine for normal family use, but they are not usually manufactured at an optimal height
for adults, let alone adults with disabilities or arthritic joints. Raised toilet seats ease the physical burden
of getting up and down from the low seated position required by most toilets. Raised toilet seats usually consist
of an add-on unit that sits atop a normal toilet. These units are designed for comfort and sanitation. Most
are clamped onto a standard toilet and often slant forward slightly for easy seating. Some units feature expanded cutaways
and splash protectors to preserve the
basin space we are accustomed to. Additional features may include padded hand rails for safety, cushioned seats
for comfort, and ability to fold for easy transport.
