Smoke alarms are an important safety addition for any home, and are usually required by law. For a person with
limited or no mobility, a smoke alarm becomes crucial. Discovering a fire threat is one thing, escaping danger
is another. The lead time created by an adequate smoke alarm may be the only thing that allows a person with
limited mobility to solicit the assistance they need in an emergency situation. Smoke alarms belong in every
