Transport Wheelchairs
Transport wheelchairs are lightweight wheel chairs designed for getting a patient from point A to point B. Unlike
standard manual or motorized wheelchairs, these do not come with power units or the ability for the
occupant to propel themselves. Rather, transport wheelchairs are intended for an assistant to easily move
a patient, even over rough ground. Most units are collapsible for easy transortation and stowing. Hand brakes are
also a useful feature to maintain control on inclines and when parked. When combined with a patient lift, these
units are ideal for moving a patient around the home with minimal physical effort.
