Wheelchair Ramps
Until we lose some of our physical mobility, we don't realize the accessibility challenges that are all around us. Even
with recent advances in motorized wheelchair technology, there are plenty of difficult obstacles to
overcome - even with the best scooters available. We see more and more proper construction with
accessibility as part of the design. However, things like stairs, vehicle heights, and even simple doorway threshholds
still interrupt ease of access that most people take for granted. One of the simplest yet most important tools
for dealing with obstacles is the basic wheelchair ramp. Not that all wheelchair ramps are basic - they are
carefully engineered for light weight and strength, and come in numerous forms, from permanent residential
access ramps to foldable ramps for Wheelchair vans and bridging short flights of stairs. Wheelchair ramps are a great
investment for mobility in an imperfect world!
